with a specially selected initial data v̄0(x). The optimal convergence rates ‖∂ x (v− v̄, u− ū)(t)‖L2 = O(1)(t 2k+3 4 , t 2k+5 4 ), k = 0, 1, are also obtained, as the initial perturbation is in L(R+) ∩ H(R+). If the initial perturbation is in the weighted space L(R+) ∩ H(R+) with the best choice of γ = 1 4 , some new and much better decay rates are further obtained: ‖∂ x(v− v̄)(t)‖L2 = O(1)(1 + t) 2k+3 4 − γ 2 , k = 0, 1. The proof is based on the technical weighted energy method combining with the Green function method. However, when β < 0 and |β| > α |u+| q−1 , then the solution will blow up at a finite time. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to confirm the theoretical results by using the central-upwind scheme. In particular, the interest phenomenon of coexistence of the global solution v(x, t) and the blow-up solution u(x, t) is observed and numerically demonstrated.

Global Attractor of the Weakly Damped Wave Equation with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions
In this paper, the main purpose is to study existence of the global attractors for the weakly damped wave equation with nonlinear boundary conditions. To this end, we first show that the existence of a bounded absorbing set by the perturbed energy method. Secondly, we utilize the decomposition of the solution operator to verify the asymptotic compactness.
متن کاملAsymptotic Approximations of the Solution for a Traveling String under Boundary Damping
Transversal vibrations of an axially moving string under boundary damping are investigated. Mathematically, it represents a homogenous linear partial differential equation subject to nonhomogeneous boundary conditions. The string is moving with a relatively (low) constant speed, which is considered to be positive. The string is kept fixed at the first end, while the other end is tied with the ...

Because of fluctuation in leg tension, pitch motion is very effective fatigue and life safety of leg elements in tension leg structures (TLSs). In this paper an exact solution for pitch vibration of a TLS interacting with ocean wave is presented. The legs of TLP are considered as elastic springs. The flow is assumed to be irrotational and single-valued velocity potentials are defined. The effec...
متن کاملDecay estimates of solutions to the IBq equation
In this paper we focus on the Cauchy problem for the generalized IBq equation with damped term in $n$-dimensional space. We establish the global existence and decay estimates of solution with $L^q(1leq qleq 2)$ initial value, provided that the initial value is suitably small. Moreover, we also show that the solution is asymptotic to the solution $u_L$ to the corresponding linear equa...
متن کاملNumerical solution of second-order stochastic differential equations with Gaussian random parameters
In this paper, we present the numerical solution of ordinary differential equations (or SDEs), from each order especially second-order with time-varying and Gaussian random coefficients. We indicate a complete analysis for second-order equations in special case of scalar linear second-order equations (damped harmonic oscillators with additive or multiplicative noises). Making stochastic differe...
